The EMPOWER PR1 Focus group

The EMPOWER project consortium has successfully completed the first Focus group as part of the needs of Project Result 1- Training Package for Sustainability in Social Enterprises.

The Focus group consisted of 5 participants between the ages of 30-35 years old and were recruited based on their interest in the topic of the project and because of their personal interaction and network.

The focus group consisted of 2 parts. During part one, the participants were asked critical questions regarding social entrepreneurship and the role it needs to play in today’s society while during part two the participants were asked about the skills they think are necessary that someone interested in social should possess or otherwise develop.

The EMPOWER project has kicked off

The EMPOWER project partners have finally gotten the chance to meet each other, signifying the starting line of a two-year-long, promising collaboration.

The consortium involves partners from five EU countries (Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Portugal and Bulgaria) and is set out to encourage the development of recently established and existing social enterprises through new learning partnerships between the world of work and the worlds of youth provision.

Four project results will be developed:

  • Training Package for Sustainability in Social Enterprises
  • Social Enterprises Simulation Game
  • MOOCs for fostering social entrepreneurship
  • Policy Paper: Building a sustainable social enterprise sector
